PLACEMENT PREPARATION

       Getting a job is one of the happiest moments in our life ,placement drives are one of the popular ways to get job.Both  off-campus and on campus placements are easy opportunities to grab a job.while preparing for placement drives , there are some tips to keep in mind. 

DO'S AND DON'TS

• BE CONFIDENT

  confidence is the first thing that you need to win any test or exam.stay calm and work towards the goal.

• REGULARLY CHECK YOUR E-MAIL

 check your e-mail regularly so that you will not miss any update from the company regarding the placement .

• GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE COMPANY

    This will help you during the interview and group discussion during the placement.

• MAKE A PLAN AND WORK ACCORDINGLY

   Remember implementing the plan is what matters not the plan. 

• NEVER GET DISAPPOINTED

    Not all placement preparations will result in a job.

Be patient and try until you get it.

•  SOLVE SOME SAMPLE QUESTIONS

solve some previous placement question papers this will give you some experience and will help you to find your strength and weakness 

• MEDITATIONS AND YOGA

        This will help you  to reduce the stress and anxiety during the  placement season . 

      

    

INFOSYS PLACEMENT PROCEDURE

   Infosys is one of the the largest IT companies in the world and it is one among top  IT companies in India which recruits freshers on a large scale.Cracking the infosys placement is not as hard as you think I know this from my personal experience. 10 days of smart work is the only thing that you will need to do get placed.

                          The infosys placement procedure  process consists of two phase

                            1. Aptitude test

                                  2. Interview

APTITUDE TEST 

 Once you passed the eligibility criteria (it was 68% with no back papers in my college)you can apply for the infosys placement drive.The aptitude test is simple and consist of some simple mathematics and verbal reasoning to check if you are smart or just " book smart". 

•  Before getting  into the aptitude test there will be a PPT and Q&A session by infosys. Listen carefully some times they may ask you some question from this ppt  during the interview ( luckily they didn't ask me any questions from the PPT).

         After the Q&A session the aptitude test will start.From the past 1-2 years the aptitude tests are online test.There are three sections in the aptitude test and individual cutoff for each section

 

1.Arithmetic reasoning and Analytical thinking 

    This section consist of 15 question and 25 minutes . This section is relatively easy and consist of questions like 

1.time & work

2.train

3.profit &loss

4.average

5.ratios

2.Mathematical critical thinking and Logical reasoning 

     Consists of 10 questions and 25 minutes to answer it .This section was very easy for me  most of the question were from the books I referred .This section consists of some simple mathematics . One can finish this with in 10 minutes if you know the equations .Luckily I was able to get all the 10 correct answers.

3.Test of communicative English

             This section is considered as the toughest among the three sections.This section  consists of 35 questions and 40 minutes.It consist of questions like 

               1.passage reading
               2.reading comprehension

               3.sentence correction

               4.Error detection

               5.syllogism

               6.sentence completion

               7.data interpretation (graph and pie diagrams)

               

   This is the section which actually determines your placement. Without any preparation its not easy to clear this section. I used the the 10 days preparation to pass this section. All the question was just like  I practised at home so it was easy.

         

cutoff marks 

 Like some other placement drives you will not get the result right after you finish the online aptitude test it will take 3-4 hours some time it will be 1 hrs for my test it took about 5 hours. The cutoff mark varies depends upon the number of vacancies they have the normal cutoffs are as below

             1.Arithmetic reasoning and Analytical thinking (60%-70%)

             2.Mathematical critical thinking and Logical reasoning(65%-75%)

             3.Test of communicative English(50%-60%)
